Special Cruise through the Chickamauga Locks

The Blue Moon is offering a special opportunity to cruise the length of the river from the Hiwassee Refuge area to the Chattanooga Pier. On Saturday, March 1 we will move the boat back to Chattanooga to begin our spring season with cruises into the Tennessee River Gorge. You are invited to join us for this special day on the river.

The boat trip begins at Sale Creek Marina and ends at the Chattanooga city pier. We will go through the lock at Chickamauga Dam where we descend 42 feet to the tail waters of Nickajack Lake six miles above Chattanooga. The trip will last 4-5 hours. We will take you by bus from Chattanooga to Sale Creek Marina where the Blue Moon is parked.

We will meet at the parking lot at the Riverfront Parkway in Chattanooga at 9 AM. The lot is located under the Oligiatti Bridge across from Marine Max and the bus will depart promptly at 9:15 AM. The boat will depart Sale Creek Marina at 10 AM. A hot lunch will be served - soup, chili and the fixin's - yum. Coffee, soft drinks and water will be available. The cash bar will also be open once we enter the main channel.

The cost for the trip is $49 per person plus tax. This includes the bus transportation and lunch. We hope you'll join us for a fun day on the river!
